Musical Acoustics / Instrument design
Development of an algorithm for the creation of custom idiophones based on analytical formulations of one-dimensional sound propagation. The algorithm allows to identify resonant frequencies of individual elements based on material, shape and bracing structure.
The instruments were used by the Berlin-London duo Emptyset to record audio material that was used for the creation of the album Blossoms, premiered at Unsound Festival 2019.
