Musical Acoustics / Instrument design
Development of an algorithm for the creation of custom idiophones based on formulation by Lawrence Kinsler and Austin Frey. The algorithm allows to identify resonant frequencies of individual elements based on material, shape and bracing structure.
The instruments were used by the Berlin-London duo Emptyset to record audio material that was used for the creation of the album Blossoms, premiered at Unsound Festival 2019.
